Getting the gear and getting farther out there
Find the right destination is a great first step toward your next Outdoor Adventure. What can really take you to the next level though is the right gear and preparing yourself to get further out and stay there longer.
Finding the right outfitter for your equipment and gear needs can build your confidence and knowledge and nobody is better prepared to help you than the folks at the Show. In one easy trip this weekend you can find a new bow, a new fly rod, a custom turkey call and a kayak or stand-up paddle board to make that outing awesome. Don't settle for less than the right equipment for your next adventure.
Getting out is one thing but staying out and making the adventure last is really important. For example, come to the show and learn how an ATV can get you farther in faster and make getting out with your hunting success easier. You’ll be surprised too at how inexpensive a recreational vehicle can be compared to the back and forth of multiple outings or hotels. You can make that hunting trip a last a really long time with great taxidermy, too – you won’t believe the quality of today’s work and how it can remind and inspire you.

Pursuing the Outdoors Lifestyle
We all look forward to making the most of our Outdoor Adventures while we are fortunate enough to be out fishing, hunting, boating, camping or generally enjoying our beautiful outdoors. But what about the rest of the time? Thankfully there are wonderful people who have figured out how make the outdoors a lifestyle and not just an activity. Cooking and art are two great ways that you can share your experiences with family and friends and make your Outdoor Adventures last longer, even back at home.
Whether you are cooking up that lakeside lunch while fishing or preparing your hunting trip’s successes back home for family and friends you want to make the best food. At Bob’s Show you can learn all about why the right cooking tools like beautiful grills and durable cast iron are really important for great, flavorful cooking. And we all know that fish and wild game have unique flavor profiles - so don’t settle for any old seasoning! With special spices, glazes and rubs perfectly suited for your game and the right cooking tools, techniques and the knowledge of how to use them you will become a master of outdoor cooking - at the campsite or at home!
An outdoors lifestyle is more than an occasional outing. All of us would love to spend more time outdoors … but that’s not always possible. One way to help bring the outdoors into your everyday lifestyle is through outdoors-inspired art and furniture.  Bob’s Show is really fortunate to have some great artists to inspire you and capture the magnificence of the outdoors. Put a beautiful knife on your belt or in your pocket that is useful on your trips and back home to remind you of the fun. Put some gorgeous photos of wildlife and wild spaces on your wall or office back home. You can even find stunning outdoors-inspired furniture pieces and metal art that will transport you right back to your favorite outdoor spot.
You really can keep the beauty and the flavor of the outdoors around you all the time!
Come see us at Expo New Mexico February 8-10th to learn more about maximizing your outdoor lifestyle with hundreds of exhibitors, many seminars and lots of your friends! See the links on the right to check our Facebook and Twitter feeds for updates and visit our Website for show details.

Your destination is directly ahead

You know that feeling … the one you get when you crave the Outdoors and you say to yourself “let’s go!” But then some inner rational child says “But where?”

What you need, you realize, is someplace to go where you can meet a bunch of different people to learn about a bunch of different destinations that can satisfy that craving – and more! The Internet? Well, maybe - but you want more than more than just a quick pop-up ad promising big fish or trophies. You want to look the other person in the eye and ask questions and get quick answers so you can feel confident you are in good hands when you plan that trip.

Well, lucky for you Bob Gerding’s Outdoor Adventures Hunting and Fishing Show is right around the corner - right here in Albuquerque! Guides, lodges and outfitters from dozens of exciting hunting and fishing destinations will be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 2/8-10, ready to share everything they know to get you out there this year! Whether you are looking for a new place close to home or someplace farther out you will find them and more at the big Show.

See the links on the right to follow Bog on Twitter for updates, like us on Facebook and visit our Website for show details. Come out to the Manual Lujan building at Expo New Mexico February 8-10th.

You can better enjoy your fishing and hunting experience by learning from experts and joining in the outdoors community. Where to go? Who will be there? What can I contribute? These are questions we all face as we spend time outdoors in New Mexico and beyond.

It’s a good thing that some of the most experienced and thoughtful advocates of our Southwestern outdoors are gathering together soon; February 8th-10th at Bob Gerding’s Outdoor Adventures show at Expo New Mexico! You can come meet them and learn more about hunting, fishing, archery and other outdoor adventures whether in New Mexico, Alaska, or even South Africa. You can also learn how you can help keep our lands beautiful, our trout healthy and our game plentiful.

Noted authors, educators and guides will be with Bob to share the insights that drove them to write and share their secrets and ideas about where to go and how to make the most of your time once you get there. Their books on fishing and exploring our lands should be on everyone’s shelf and even the most experienced fisher and hunter can discover a new spot to try this year from them.

We know that a good education starts with the kids. That’s why experts like Ti Piper and others will be teaching casting, helping learn safety on the BB gun range, hunter’s safety, plus cooking demonstrations, fly casting demonstrations. Plus hundreds of knowledgeable people will be ready to help your children onto the right path to having fun while staying safe outdoors.

Friendly experts will be at the Show to share details on our parks and preserves right here in New Mexico that are yours to enjoy! You haven’t really been outdoors until you’ve experienced the Valles Caldera in winter, the San Juan River in the summer, Elephant Butte Lake in the spring, or Pancho Villa State Park in the fall. How about a 2013 resolution to visit all 35 NM State Parks … I bet you’re missing a few on the list – these folks can help you see all the wonder our parks have to offer.

So don’t get caught outdoors without the right knowledge and the right advocates back home helping keep your outdoors healthy and strong. Come connect with the experts so you can enjoy our beautiful outdoors.
